TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY GIVEAWAY!

Wow...TWO YEARS!

In some ways, it feels like just yesterday that I was introduced to the pastry bag!

In other ways, if feels like I've been doing this forever!

Little did I know, two years ago when I started this little dessert hobby of mine...that I'd have 1,686 people following my Facebook page!

1000+ Facebook Fans Celebration Giveaway!

 Once upon a time...

I had a longing to learn to decorate cakes and cookies.

So...

I finally did something about it.

Two summers ago, I took a Wilton Cake Decorating Basics class at a local craft store.

I was hooked.

 And although I do enjoy cake decorating...

COOKIES have really become my thing lately.

I do some cakes...but consider myself a real amateur.

They generally turn out good...but cookies have been my passion lately.

Cookies and cake pops are a lot of fun.

When I started my "Sweet Ivy Confections" Facebook page a little over a year ago, I never dreamed that I'd gain over 1000+ fans!

To say thank-you, for all of your love, encouragement, support, advice, and orders...

I did a little giveaway!

She was contacted via Facebook and has picked up her cookies.

I really enjoy doing floral cookies.

I will admit, the weather (humidity) gave me some fits.

Any baker will tell you...humidity is our worst nightmare when it comes to royal icing.

So, these cookies and I had words...we had "bubbles", and some "separating".

But all in all...I think they turned out ok.

Our winner was delighted...and that's enough for me!

I had never seen these.

This mold is for covering your favorite cookie in a candy melt, making a cute candy dipped cookie treat!  How cool is that?  Perfect for parties, showers, celebrations, or just a special treat for your kids!

An Easter Pretzel Mold from Wilton.

I just LOVE the sweet/salty taste of coated pretzels!

I've always dipped my own pretzels, but how cute is this?

The next item isn't really a baking item...

Although, you might need them "after" you get done eating to wipe your hands on!

This is a purse size package of Easter "naps".

The package says "hankies"...so when I first picked them up, I thought they were purse sized tissues.  But after further examining them, they look quite thick...more like a napkin...which is why I've been calling them "naps".

I say use them or call them whatever you want.

It never hurts to have extra napkins and/or tissues in your purse for emergencies...and these are so dang cute!

Two spools of Easter ribbon!

Perfect for tying up all your Easter goodie bags full of cookies and treats!

I have to appologize for my poor quality photos.

I wish these hadn't turned out so poorly.

I have been inspired by the lovely and amazing Flour De Lis.  She is an extremely talented cookie artist.  She has shared in her blog an amazing thing she is doing to spread some Christmas cheer this holiday season. 

I have spoken with her and asked if she minded if I share her idea.  What I would like to do, is "bless" someone in our local southwest Michigan community this season with some holiday cookies.

What I need you to do, is nominate someone you would like to see "blessed" with some holiday cookies!  Maybe you know a family/friend who is struggling?  Possibly an elderly shut-in?  Perhaps a disabled person who cannot bake holiday cookies on their own?  Maybe it's someone who is always doing for others and never makes time for themself?  It does not have to be a single person or family.  It could be a group or organization as well!
